Although it is native/wild bees that are threatened, there is no reason why we should not protect the honey bees in our gardens

Read up on all things relating to bees and why there is a worldwide concern for their conservation

Create an indigenous garden which will attract more bees (ask your nursery to advise you on the plants/flowers which will attract bees)

Try not using pesticides in your garden that will harm insect life.  Rather choose an organic pesticide to support your garden and protect insect life

Educate your children on the importance of bees.  They are the generation of the future

Sign petitions calling for the banning of pesticides in farming
